Feminine Fashion Files: Episode 1, Rashin Malakpoor
Welcome to Feminine Fashion Files, where we go behind the scenes with your favourite hyper-feminine fashion influencers as they reveal style secrets and explore what being a girly girl means to them.
Rashin Malakpoor is a 31 year old hyper-feminine influencer with over 200,000 followers on Instagram and 96,000 followers on TikTok (@rashinmalak). Describing her style as ‘’feminine but battling between dark feminine and light feminine aesthetic with historical influence, especially Rococo,’’ Malakpoor has been creating hyper-feminine content since 2020. ‘’I started with Instagram around 2016. But until 2020 I wasn’t really aware of hyper-femininity. It all started with an incident in 2020, [when] my right boob ripped open. I had to get an emergency surgery and it left me with scars. My self love journey began right then, and with that I found my passion in hyper feminine styles, I started to wear pink a lot and ruffled skirts.’’
What does hyper-femininity and being a girly girl mean to you?
‘’Taking care of myself, being creative, enjoying femininity and the beautiful things in life.’’
Are there any particular brands or style icons that inspire your hyper-feminine outfits?
‘’Madame du Barry and Madame de Pompadour. [They were] both mistresses of Louis XV during different periods, were both fashion icons and had a big impact on 18th century fashion. I was always fascinated by paintings of them.’’
What style tips would you give to someone who wants to start dressing in the girly aesthetic?
‘’Find your niche style, there are so many different styles of feminine aesthetics whether it's Y2K or more historical [styles] like Regency, Rococo. Or light pastel girly or even dark vampire Barbie. You can play around with different styles and find your own personal preferences.’’
What are some of your favourite videos you’ve posted on TikTok, or some of your favourite outfits you’ve posted on Instagram?
‘’I think the answer to that is very obvious in my case. It's my 18th century pink robe à la française which I designed myself and brought to life. It took me 4 years to complete the look and wear it to Versailles- I felt so proud that day. So all the videos and pictures from that ball in Versailles are my absolute favourites.’’
Do you have any other comments about the hyper-feminine aesthetic or being a hyper-feminine influencer?
‘’I would like to encourage other hyper-feminine people to become content creators and never give up and continue to post as much content as possible and eventually they will grow and bless all of our social media feeds with beautiful hyper-feminine content. Hyper-femininity deserves more hype!’’
